IBS and Your Own Detective Work

Daily I see clients with a diagnosis from their doctors of IBS.  What I mostly have come to know is that once my clients have a diagnosis they are not clear on just what to do next. This is what I would suggest: Consulting a Holistic Nutritionist or a Naturopath would go a long way to easing your discomfort.  Colonics is a wonderful way to keep the colon clean and free of build up.  One thing you really need to get your head wrapped around, is it’s your own efforts of being a detective and detecting what works for you. I hope this list below is helpful and acts as a spring board to your road to healing your gut issues.

Smile; remember it’s all about Poo!!

Some foods and drinks make IBS worse.
Foods and drinks that may cause or worsen symptoms include
  • fatty foods, like French fries
  • milk products, like cheese or ice cream
  • chocolate
  • alcohol
  • caffeinated drinks, like coffee and some sodas
  • carbonated drinks, like soda

Points to Remember

  • IBS means your bowel doesn’t work the right way.
  • IBS can cause cramping, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and constipation.
  • IBS doesn’t damage the bowel or lead to other health problems.
  • The doctor will diagnose IBS based on your symptoms. You may need to have medical tests to rule out other health problems.
  • Stress doesn’t cause IBS, but it can make your symptoms worse.
  • The solution rests with you and your interest in noticing what works for you.
  • Fatty foods, milk products, chocolate, alcohol, and caffeinated and carbonated drinks can trigger symptoms.
  • Probiotics will help to repopulate the colon with good bacteria
  • Eating foods with fiber and eating small meals throughout the day may reduce symptoms.
  • Treatment for IBS may include herbs or homeopathies, stress relief, and changes in eating habits.

Colonics as a Great Tool for your return to Pooing Health

I would like to offer a Happy New Year to my readers. We in our home had a very enjoyable holiday and have great graditude for our health.

I don’t know about you, but my health baramitor is how I am pooing. So as I evaluate how I am feeling by looking in the toilet in the morning.  My baramitor has been a little off over the holidays and ya if I don’t go I’m a little wild about it.  I can, like a lot of people skip a day if my schedule is changed or if I am traveling too.  Then if my thyroid is not medicated properly I don’t go at all. So I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to help me with this issue.   All I can say is colonics!  Doing a cleanse and a series of colonics a couple times a year can make a world of difference.  I see colonic clients through out the year and have to say the difference is remarkable.
If you are not sure just what colonics are keep reading ….. !

What are the benefits of Colon Therapy?

Colonics offer relief from a variety of disturbances by cleansing the colon of impacted and putrefied fecal matter. Fatigue, gas, headaches, irritability, skin problems, cold hands and feet, lethargy and among the problems people found relieved by colon cleansing. Constipation, of course, is another as well as chronic diarrhea. Your sense of well-being is often dramatically improved with colon irrigations. You feel lighter, more energetic. The body can again assimilate food in the colon and  better defend itself against disease. Natural peristalsis, tone and regularity are restored and many serious diseases may be averted through this gentle, sterile, scientific technique. Colonics are a key factor in the restoration of the body’s natural balance or what

Factors Leading to Toxicity
There are many contributing factors to autointoxication from a toxic bowel. Improper diet, insufficient exercise, stress, overeating and ignoring the “call of nature” can all lead to bowel problems.
Most of us, for instance, have had years of poor to average nutritional food.  Much of our food is subjected to processing modification, refining, frying and over cooking.
As a result of this food altering, the digestive organs cannot process the minerals efficiently and they are passed out of the small intestine into the colon as wastes.  The consumption of mucous producing foods such as meat, dairy products and flour, cause dense sticky bowel movements.  Excess mucous in our system is a sign of trouble.  Mucous stools are difficult for the body to eliminate.  When they are expelled, they leave behind a glue-like coating on the walls of the colon which accumulates layer by layer into a hard rubbery crust.  The body cannot eliminate these layers of hardened mucous on its own.  They are often carried for the duration of the persons life as a toxic burden.
Incompletely digested food ferments and putrefies when remaining in the colon longer than a day.  When this fermented waste combines with the body’s own bile acids from the liver, carcinogens can ultimately develop into colon or rectal cancers.  Enhancing the colon’s ability to expedite the elimination of waste reduces the over all toxicity.
The good news in all this, you can make a choice to migrate your lifestyle a use        therapy’s like colonics and nutritional changes to correct this process.

“Every tissue is fed by the blood, which is supplied by the intestinal system.  When the intestines are dirty, the blood is dirty, and so are the organs and tissues.  It is the intestinal system that has to be cared for first before any effective healing can take place.”
